Section1 旅游+投诉场景

某人预订机票fail 以后，打电话complain。网友回忆如下：

一个女人投诉航空公司。女的叫Quigley，想要买4张 2-way tickets， 但是网页老是给出error的message。航空公司解释只能带2个小孩，但女的有3个，分别是11岁，8岁，5岁，有个空让你填都小于多少岁。女的觉得这样对large families 和school group 不公平。专员建议他直接写信给manager投诉，给了她reference number：GBK8422。

其中：reference number有考生的答案是：JBK852，正确的应该是GBK8422。稍稍注意一下这两个字母的发音。

Section2 租房 场景。可以选择的有 a flat, a house a hostel

选择题+地图题。地图题是从某处出发，听路线后，找到bank，flat等的位置。有些考生觉得这个地图题有点难。想训练地图题的同学，可以做一下北语的“黑眼睛”或者新东方的“基础听力教材”练习一下。

Section3 教师&学生 discussing 学习方面的话题。网友回忆答案如下：

第三篇是学生觉得没有掌握独立学习的技能 skills needed to learn independently，男的学习的时候在发邮件，最后反映太吵。填空的顺序是audio部分：(global) listening skills，(stop the tape) to predict， dictation， note-taking，video部分：eye-contact，没有听到s，应该是单数， cover the subtitle，也没有听到s。。看电视那个空好像是chat-show。

For nearly 300 years, the Vikings sparked fear in their enemies. The Vikings were fearless warriors. They stormed villages. They attacked fortresses. They stole gold. They captured slaves.

Not all Vikings, however, were villains. Some were farmers and craftspeople. Others discovered new lands. They were the first Europeans to sail to America. Yet their story is clouded in the mists of the past. Now it’s time to meet the real Vikings.

All stories have beginnings. This one is no different. It begins on June 8, 793. That?s when Viking ships sailed toward a small island off the coast of England. It wasn’t long before the islands inhabitants spotted the ships. They were still far away. It was impossible to see who was onboard. No one knew what was about to happen. No one knew that a new chapter in history was opening. They could only wait—and wonder.

ROWING ASHORE

The ships came closer. Each carried a hundred men. Some of the men used long oars. The oars plunged into the water. As the men pulled on the oars, the boats lurched forward.

Alongside the oarsmen sat warriors. Each fighter wore a heavy metal helmet. Some carried swords. Others held axes. All were ready to take the island.

That’s exactly what they did. As soon as the ships touched the shore, the warriors jumped out. They looted the island. They took everything of value. They loaded their ships with treasure. Then they sailed away and into history.

The attack on the island was the first Viking raid. It is the beginning of the Viking Age. For the next 300 years, people living along the coast of Europe would dread the appearance of Viking ships.

Hibernation, also known as 'winter sleep', is a state of deep sleep or dormancy that an animal undergoes during the cold months of winter. During this phase body metabolism and heart rate of the animal go down drastically and the animal practically sleeps for various days to months. There are two types of hibernation, namely 'true' hibernation and torpor, or temporary hibernation. In true hibernation, the animal falls into such a deep sleep that it appears to be dead. The body temperature, breathing and the heart rate drops down. Torpor is a state of short sleep, where the heart rate and body temperature goes down but the animal is able to move around. There are various degrees of hibernation and not all animals go into a complete state of hibernation.

Some facial recognition algorithms identify faces by extracting landmarks, or features, from an image of the subject's face. For example, an algorithm may analyze the relative position, size, and/or shape of the eyes, nose, cheekbones, and jaw. These features are then used to search for other images with matching features. Other algorithms normalize a gallery of face images and then compress the face data, only saving the data in the image that is useful for face detection. A probe image is then compared with the face data. One of the earliest, successful systems is based on template matching techniques applied to a set of salient facial features, providing a sort of compressed face representation.

3-D

A newly emerging trend, claimed to achieve previously unseen accuracies, is three-dimensional face recognition. This technique uses 3-D sensors to capture information about the shape of a face. This information is then used to identify distinctive features on the surface of a face, such as the contour of the eye sockets, nose, and chin.

One advantage of 3-D facial recognition is that it is not affected by changes in lighting like other techniques. It can also identify a face from a range of viewing angles, including a profile view.

Skin texture analysis

Another emerging trend uses the visual details of the skin, as captured in standard digital or scanned images. This technique, called skin texture analysis, turns the unique lines, patterns, and spots apparent in a person’s skin into a mathematical space.

Tests have shown that with the addition of skin texture analysis, performance in recognizing faces can increase 20 to 25 percent.

第三篇是儿童文学改良的问题Literature of children

第一题：选择题 会给出问2，3，5  段的内容，比较好定位

有一道题好像说很多写儿童文学的人主要关注的是。。。原文是less interest in literature than the lessons... teach 我觉得是不是说总是站在成人角度想教会儿童一些道理。而不是关注它们是不是儿童的兴趣所在。但是我忘了选哪个了。

第二题：补全句子
S3是根据原文接话我只记得一个是说研究儿童文学会我好像选的A 使他们接受书籍，在这个多种媒介的时代。还有一个说大人为什么不会玩游戏，选的接的那句话是因为缺少skills。
S4最后一题说的是，我在B（儿童文学的重要性，并提出改进的建议）C（电脑现代媒体应用于儿童文学传播）之间犹豫了一下，后来发现电脑只是一个论点而已。最后还是B （哈！阅读就大功告成了

文章的大意是大脑像人的身体一样也可以经过训练，以提高人们解决问题的能力、创造力等等。目前全球已经有很多公司采用这种方式（mind gymnastic）来提高员工的工作效率

第一种题型是：yes/no/not given

这部分答案在文章的前4段找，语言点比较集中，都可以找到一一对应的话。

第二种题型是观点和学者的matching题， 这部分答案也不难找到，用人名定位就可以了

P2: salmon myth

 大马哈鱼溯河进行繁殖，由于人类的活动其产量、质量上都发生了很大的变化。科学家们对他们的分布、习性以及海洋环境、气候对他们的影响进行了一系列的研究。

第一种题型：时间事件的matching:有三个时间点（before 1970s;in 1970s;recent years）这道题就拿事情回原文定位就好了

第二种题型：yes/no/not given: 题目涉及全篇文章，找起来颇麻烦

P3: noise and performance

主要介绍科学家通过实验研究噪音对人们工作表现的影响

第一种题型：Multiple choice:

第一题 问人们为什么在山上睡不着，选的是人们习惯一定程度噪音的环境（原文是人们以为他们会很习惯很安静的地方，但实际上不是，科学研究表明人们习惯暴露于一定程度的噪音中）

第三题 在第二段定位的 用排除法 选的是噪音对只需完成一项工作的人而言影响并不是很大

内容回忆：音乐家是怎么炼成的，是靠天赋还是练习。整体而言比较简单。文章大概分几个部分，先师提出疑问，然后讲了两个关于音乐家大脑structure跟正常人不同的例子，但是无法知道是天生就不同还是练习使大脑发生了变化。接着讲了一个实验，说把一群学音乐的学生分成两组，一组是比较有talent的，一组是比较普通的，经过几年后，发现是练习最多的最成功而不是有天赋的。接着从认知神经学的角度谈到只要练习时间在10,000小时以上，就能成为任何一个方面的大师。接下来一段讲人的大脑需要经过这么长时间的训练才行，支持上一段观点。最后一段讲有人拿莫扎特的例子来反对10,000h理论，作者再次反驳说，莫扎特的第一个交响乐是在8岁而不是4岁时写的，并且这个交响乐不受待见，而且他有一个很彪悍的老爸给他训练，并且假若他从2岁开始学习，那么到8岁也差不多有10,000h。
