是以前毕业论文里面的内容,虽然现在对诗歌翻译的热情已减退(因为打破脑袋也想不出来怎么翻才传神入味),但这段我一直没丢,是自己特别喜欢的句子。
韦应物的《滁州西涧》：

“独怜幽草涧边生，上有黄鹂深树鸣。春潮带雨晚来急，野渡无人舟自横。”

《千家诗》对这首诗的注解是：“此亦托讽之诗。草生涧边，喻君子生不遇时；鹂丢 鸣深树，讥小人谗佞而在位；春水本急，遇雨而涨，又当晚潮之时，其急更甚，喻时之将乱也；野渡有舟，而无人运济，喻君子隐居山林，无人举而用之也。” 从这注解上看这首诗可谓意味深长。

1 ． On the West Stream at Chuzhou

Alone I like the riverside where green grass grows,  

And golden orioles sing amid the leafy trees.

At dusk with spring showers the river overflows,

A lonely boat athwart the ferry floats at ease.        

2 ． The West Wale of Chuzhou

I love the lonely grasses thriving by the vale.

High up among the trees the orioles chirp their tale.

Bearing rains the spring tide moves rapidly at dusk.

At the deserted ferry lies a forlorn sail.

3 ． Chuzhou’s West Valley Stream

Most lovely are the grasses that grow hidden by the blanks

Where orioles sing from deep within the overhanging boughs.

Quickened by the evening rain,

     the spring flood swells the rustic crossing;

No one aboard, the ferryboat rights itself upon the tide.

尽管其中也出现了 alone, lonely, hidden, deserted 等意为“孤独冷清”的词，然而更多的却是 like, love, lovely, green, sing, swell, right , at ease 等诸多表示积极情感和笔调轻松的词。这么说，三首译诗都象是一幅春雨过后，鸟儿欢唱，草儿渐长，而船儿轻置的闲适画面，很难说有《千家诗》所描述的沉重情怀。可是怎样翻译才认为满意也许此生不可能。
