今天听的不顺，主要是下载的复读机到期了，想要继续购买还要网上支付,有点不放心，等白天清醒的时候来操作。
      有时完全自己听似乎还好过用别人的做参考，别人的错误不容易发现，自己也跟着糊了。
      发现自己很依赖搜索，稍有不明的地方就打关键字搜，当然搜索需要一定的技巧，有时很灵光，多麻烦的材料也能搜到一些痕迹，有时就晕了，但更多的时候我找到搜索的乐趣。听新闻中的很多不熟悉的人名地名我有大部分都是搜出来的，比如听力中出现reporter的名字听不出来，通常我就打入：VOA news reporter , 然后在后面加上这则新闻涉及的国家或城市，多半都能找到。或者输入新闻最后一句话再加voa news，也能有收获，象今天这个Deborah Tate, VOA news 就是这么搜出来的。VOA驻各地的记者有时是固定的，所以每天坚持听，时间久了一段时间内的人名都可以记下了。
      听写新闻是识记专有名词最好的方法，只要肯坚持，并且留心积累，偶尔参考一些达人的经验和贴士，多多实践，一定会有成效！


1) United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon says a new peace negotiation aiming to bring an end to 4-year conflict in Darfur will start on October 27 in Libya , more now from Lisa Schlein in the Sudanese capital.
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon told journalist the talks were very useful, and he and the president are taking a big step toward their shared goal of bringing peace to Darfur. "
"We are pushing very hard to bring the various parties in the Darfur country to the negotiation table, we need a peace to keep, that means an immediate cease-fire, and an end to violence. "
In a joint communique issued after the meeting, the government of Sudan pledged to work toward a peace agreement and to facilitate the timely deployment of the 26,000 strong hybrid  African Union and UN peace keeping force in Darfur. For its part, the UN pledged to support these efforts. Secretary general Ban says the situation surrounding the Darfur crisis has changed and the time is now right to launch new peace talks. He said everyone involved in the conflicts must seize this opportunity.

2) Israeli forces killed ten Palestinian militants in clashes in the Gaza Strip, the highest one-day toll, Thursday in about 2 months. Israeli tanks and soldiers entered Gaza near the southern city of Khan Younis, killed four militants in the fighting there. Israeli army called the operation routine activity in the area where militants dig tunnels near the border and fire rockets at Israel.
Independent Panel of experts has reported that US Congress said it would be about 18 months or maybe a little less, 12 months, possibly, before Iraqi forces are ready to take charge of their country security. As story now from VOA Deborah Tate.

" This Iraqi army cannot yet operate independently due to a continuing lack of logistics , supply, mobility and effective national command and control. While it cannot defend against the external threats to the nation particularly along the border of Syria and Iran, it is able to do more each day in the defense, in the responding to threats along the lines of internal security.”
"In testimony to the Senate Armed Services Committee, Jones praised gains made by the Iraqi army and its ability and willingness to defend against internal threats to the nation. He called Iraq special forces the most capable and effective unit in Iraq, but said they still lack mobility and support systems. 3) Italian opera legend Luciano Pavarotti who brought opera to the masses as one of the greatest tenors in the 20th century has died at his home in southern/northern (口误，应是northern) Italy, 71 years old, the Vienna State Opera raised a black flag in mourning .
