At Mike and Debbie Wyche’s place, ___________ (准备)for mealtimes involve more than setting the table. Dozens of different meals are carefully prepared to meet diners’ needs and tastes. The arrival of the food isn’t ___________ (伴随) by pleasant dinner table conversation, either. Instead, a wide variety of roars, screams, and _________ (咆哮) come from the diners. The big cats and other animals that call Cat Tales Zoological Park home are ready to eat.
The Wyches founded Cat Tales in 1991 with just four big cats. They wanted to provide a home for ___________ (被抛弃的) or abused big cats. As word of their work spread, they were called upon to rescue more and more animals. Just one year later, the Wyches had two tigers, five pumas, a serval, two bobcats, and two lynx. And over the years, the numbers have just kept growing. Today, the park is home to 47 big cats and other animals, including two bears. Its residents eat more than 14,000 pounds of meat a month.
