A new study in XX shows the value of washing hands with so (soap and )water in preparation for child birth. Researchers found that hand washing by birth attendants and mothers increase the chances that the babies would survive from their first month. A study showed that the risk of death was 19 percent lower when birth attendants wash their hands before delivery. And the risk of death was 44 percent lower when mothers wash their hands before they touch their baby. Researchers from the XX school of public health in the united states did the study .they observed more than 23,000 new borns . almost all were born at home or on the way to the medical center. The study says just 53 percent of birth attendants reported washing their hands with sopen(soap and) water before delivery. And only 15 percent of mothers reported washing their hands before handling their new born. more than 30,000 new borns die each year in the pool. Researcher XX says the finding suggests that hand washing could prevent many of this death (these deaths). The XX professor noted several studies have shown that mothers’ hand washing can reduce the risk of diarale(diarrhea) in the young children . but he says this was one of the first to examine the effects of hand washing on the first month of the birth.
