再谈 T/F/NG

T/F/NG 的出题思路：

用一句话去概括 T/F/NG 的思路：从 paraphrasing 和 general meaning 两方面理解。 Paraphrasing 比较容易理解，即同义变换，关键是 general meaning 比较笼统不易掌握。简单得讲就是，原文虽然字面上没有明讲，但是可以概括出来这个意思。

之所以，有时候会把 T 与 NG 选反了，主要原因就是在怀疑原文到底有没有这样说。导致这个怀疑的原因：一是过分保守地理解原文，即原文字面上没有直说；二是因为过分开放性地对原文的内容进行逻辑推理或逻辑考察。

那么，应该怎么把握 T/F/NG 中推理的尺度呢？

如：

原文： Moreover, it allows for a flatter organization --- one where multiple layers of managers and supervisors are no longer needed in modern industries.

Q: Traditional companies have multiple layers of managers and supervisors.(T)

再如：

原文： In modern industries, the team headed by a senior member, feeds back information to a project manager whose job is to oversee the work done by a multitude of different teams under his jurisdiction. The result is more and better quality work is achieved by fewer people.

Q: Modern work practices create unemployment. (NG)

又如：

原文： If the idea is successful, which, given the pace of technological change is only a matter of time, calculations that would challenge the capacity of the fastest and most up-to-date supercomputer can easily handled by a team of PCs.

Q: According to the author it is not known whether the new system will be successful.(F)

看了三个例子后，我们再来讨论一下， T/F/NG 到底能否推理。

一般地可以这样来理解，不要过多地进行逻辑推理或逻辑考察，雅思阅读考的是语言能力，一定要养成从语言角度看问题的习惯，不要总钻逻辑的牛角尖！
