小新老师,我写的文章(雅思强化班讲义)P108/3(就是STRESS的那个),请简要点评,并评判可以得几分。谢谢。

It is reported that the rate of suicide has jacked up in recent years and it will still continue to soar in the future. At the same moment, more and more people pick out to avoid working or studying, preferring to stay at home. This phenomenon can be attributed to pressure.

What factors can make stress? I strongly believe that the unhealthy lifestyle is a crucial reason. It is including smoking, alcoholism, stay-up, unbalanced diet and so on. All of them are bad habits and will be detrimental to our health. Often, these bad habits effect insomnia or other symptoms initially, then producing affliction ultimately.

Fierce competition in the society is another reason. It enforces people to work much harder than before because you will be substituted at any moment if you have lagged behind others. In order to achieve work perfectly, the employees have to utilize more time to finish or revise the work that the employers have ordered. So stress occurs easily in this kind of the working environment.

Notwithstanding sometimes tension which emerges is inevitable; we still have some solutions to alleviate it. One solution is that we can eat a considerable number of vegetables such as greens, eggplant, celery and cucumber. Often, we can eat fish meat and other nutritional food in moderation. They are helpful to our body and amend our health and then mitigate stress.

Another way is diversion of attention. It means that you can stop doing your job temporarily and adapt to go to the museums and cinemas instead. Admittedly, they can improve your appreciation of aesthetics of arts.

In conclusion, although stress is an annoying matter for us, we still have ways to relieve it. Finally, I believe we can conquer it if we have a good lifestyle and smooth mood.

小新老师,我写的文章(雅思强化班讲义)P108/7(就是HAPPINESS的那个),请简要点评,并评判可以得几分。谢谢。

It is true, I believe, happiness is difficult to be defined because each person has different idea of happiness respectively. While some people link happiness to material success, others think it lies in spiritual triumph.

Some people pick out wealth as their happiness. It means that the more money they have, the more happiness they obtain. It seems that only wealth is a standard to distinguish happiness. They strongly believe that the rich are more pleasant than poor because the former can buy everything they want while the latter can not achieve their expectation because of lacking money.

However, a considerable number of people give up pursuing wealth, preferring mental happiness. Especially for some scholars, they look down on money, thinking that it is the evil of the root. They believe that spiritual happiness is their final goals because it can make them much more perfectly, even though they are very poor and hard to live on.

Those who put priority in material success usually know how to earn more money in less time. They all understand that although money is not everything, without money you can do nothing. For example, most of them invest money in stocks, lottery and so on. They hope they will get huge amount of money in short-term.

But those who chase mental happiness will enlarge their mental edification and spiritual abundance by filling-up, cover-up or appreciation of aesthetics such as going to the galleries of museums.

Notwithstanding different people have different choices in achieving happiness, I firmly believe an ability to keep clear perspectives in life is a more essential factor in accomplishing happiness, whether it is material success or mental triumph.

小新老师,我写的文章(雅思强化班讲义)P109/1(就是Machine-robot的那个),请简要点评,并评判可以得几分。谢谢。

It is undeniable that we human beings have obtained a considerable number of benefits from the machine-robots which created by us. They have done much work for us, which we are unwilling to do or hard to do. However, we begin to worry about that whether we will fail to keep the ability to live on by ourselves if we don’t own machine-robots.

Of course, machine-robots have merits with their own. On one hand, people can save labors in working, especially for the perilous and repetitive work. Machine-robots can rise up the efficiency and productivity of work, which making our life more convenient and colorful. We will have more leisure time than before and we can determine what amusements can be done during the extra free time. Life is easier and happier for us. On the other hand, machine-robots also can push back the frontier of science and technology as an avant-garde through scientific innovation and ingenuity. Fifty years ago, who can predict the appearance of the machine-robots? Who can imagine the function of them? But we realize indeed and science and technology have been pushed ahead with.

But, we should not forget that machine-robots also have demerits. It is obvious that overdependence on machine-robots will deteriorate our creativity and flexibility. At the same moment, our self-motivation and initiative also will be undermined. We maybe become much lazier than before and hard to get rid of the machine-robots. Moreover, machine-robots cost for operation and maintenance. We have to utilize more money in these items. Finally, machine-robots may deprive some staffs of their jobs. What’s even worse, those who are lost for jobs may cause social problems such as robbery, steal and so on because they are hard to live on themselves.

In conclusion, we should recognize that machine-robots have pros and cons. And we should take advantage of their pros and give up their cons in order to make them have better services for us.

白书P108 No3 stress

It is an undeniable fact that more and more people are suffering stress from working and studying. What reasons cause stress and how to solve it? In the following, I would like to present my opinions about these.

For a lot of people, the most important stress source I think is from work—too much or too complicated work. Every one is eager to have a nice life with high quality for family, such as a big, comfortable house, going out with a car instead of feet, an exciting trip a month and etc., but all these are supported by a good financial base which will lead people to accept a higher difficult job to earn more money to meet it. You must try your best and work all day and night, which looks like endless. Of course, other reasons like smoking, alcoholism, unbalance nutritional intake, lacking of exercises will deteriorate your health and also make you stressful.

Then how to resolve these problems? As a member of the family, working hard to earn more money is not the only way to make your family happy. Maybe the keenest thing of your family is having a simple supper together with all members or enjoying a leisure time during the sunny holiday afternoon. Pay more time with your family and let yourself away from work temporarily! When you are doing such things, then you could release from the stress really and totally. Besides these, you also should improve you life style, for instance, making a balance diet or taking enough exercises, and give up bad habits, such as staying up, smoking, too much drinking. A strong body with good health can help you to deal well with work and decrease your physic stress.

Remember, sometimes stress isn’t a so terrible thing, if you have learned how to solve it.

Some people think arts-funding can not promote living standard of the society, thus government should not fund on arts.To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Recent years the government budgets a soaring amount of fund at arts ,such as music, opera and paintings, thus sparking a heated controversy on whether it is a must to do so. Conspiciously incompatible opinions flood the social dilemma,I seek to analyze the issue from diverse angels.

Advocators, who completely and thoroughly uphold the banner of arts-funding,proclaim that it is the symbol of the upgraded living standard and the enriched and enligtehed social life. As for the individual, due to the abundant investment by the government, the public are entitled to have much more frequent access to the scream of human wisdoms, which quenches people’s thirst of aesthetic appreciation and substancially invigorates men’s spiritual world, especialy when they are no longer bothered by maintaining their daily lives.

However, contradicted arguments are fluently and prevently backed up by the opponents. In the light of Maslow’s Theory, when the contemporary authorities fail to afford ample food and clothing for daily consuming and even the starving frequent some regions, let alone the bid of superstructure of the society. Therefore, the first priority should be put on the satisfying the rudimentary needs of people and the plausible constructions of infrastructure such as sanitation, transportation and education. In this way, the great common will undergo a mutual properity harmoniously and peacefully.

From my perspective, people should not be deprived of self-edification and fulfillment of arts-enjoying. To bid or not is an indispensable and pressing agenda for the official to discuss and
nail down, only after systematic and comprehensive contemplation of its economic situation per se, could they have a discretionary and plausible settlement.

The bar charts makes a detailed comparisonand contrast of different situation of two stages of education popularized in Europe,Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and Esat Asia.

Focusing on the firs chart which present a conspicuous discription of secondary education geared down differs in these four regions.Comparatively a better job of universalizing the secondary education is done by Eurpean government, making a zenith of the precentage at approximately 90 percent and 100 percent for boys and girlsrespectively. Astonishingly, the statistics compiled in Europe outpercentage that of Sub-Saharan Africa by roughly 80 percent. The percentages provided by Latin America and East Asia are in moderation, with around 40 percent for boys and 50 percent for girls and nearly 50 percent for boys and 40 percent for girls respectively.

Moving forward on the second bar, it produces no significant alteration in rankings of promoting higher education, with Europe listing the first and Sub-Saharan Africa covering a waker status, but rather a booming modification in the percentages. The percentages of both maled and femaled benefitting from higher education reach a pinnacle at around 50 percent in Europe, yet, outpercentage by the situation in the firt bar to a large extent. This is the similar case with Latin America and East Asia. Sub-saharan,contradictorily, almost stay stagnant, with no thansparent progression and degerneration.

What is worth mentioning is that the rate of education popularization is proportionate with the economic development of corresponding regions.

小新老师,以下是关于交通堵塞的Task 2的文章,6月就考试了,望给予指教:

It is generally believed that traffic jam has become a serious problem in our community. But what causes the problem and how to solve it? Here is the two main factors that I prefer to be listed below.
Firstly, the top point in my propenity has to do with the self-discipline. Consider driving after drunk, which is prone to accidents, contributes to the traffic congestion. Also, the addressing issue derives from rushing into red light. Furthermore, it can be witnessed that overpopulation to abuse of private car curbs the transportation movement. Admittedly, above three behaviours are the reflection or saying mirror of the terrible traffic consideration.
Secondly, I would like to say it has to do with the infrastructure. For example, citizens living in centres always complain the crowded superhighways about unresonable design. In addition, lacking of perfect mentro system does not relieve but deteriorate the stress on public transportation. So it should be the government responsibility to eye-catch the system building-up.
In order to improve the current status, I recommend two following actions. In the first place, captial punishment should be enforeced on those who lack of awareness on conformity with regulations. It is good choice if the government can offer certain training programe related to traffic. For the second, infrastructure system such as ligh tracks or mentros should be appropriated with funds by the governments.
In sum, developing transportation system is the key point to economic foundation and also drive the progress on cilivization. So taking roadway as primary element will undoubtly stimulate the market increasing.

Title: In order to improve students’ chances of finding a decent job, secondary schools should spend less time teaching traditional subjects, such as history. Instead, they should devote more time to communicational skills and business. Do you agree or disagree? Give your reasons.

Writing:
It is generally believed that communicational skills have more overweighted traditioanal subjects for the sake of career development. To some extend, I am inclined to the main tendency for most people opinion. However, it is entirely possible that mainstream concept overlooks certain function of conventional courses.

Actually, I would like to say that communicative skills render people more oppotunities finding decent job. With ever-increasing industry, teamwork such as cooperation and presentation play a critical role on productivity in manufactory. Also, traditional subjects can not keep up with Joneses on aspect of some realms such as information technology.

However, what we learnt in secondary school in traditiaonal way has to do with the knowledge foundation. Consider modern musicals derive from the calssic opera even though it has become less popular that it was. Besides, we can not neglect that fashionable styles on building originate from historic architecture during Renaissance. Admittedly, Basic skill is the key point of updating knowledges.

Another oulook in my propensity for traditional subjects is bound up with moral-system building-up. Take the example as history, which is the one taht contribute to the students a clear picture of basic specification like culture and self-value but communication do not involve in. Indeed, conventional cirriculums form their own attitude towards character and morality, which lay the foundation for career development.

In sum, it is likely that traditional subjects will never dispear even with economy-growth. What I want to say is that basement skill is the primary element while business skill is the promoting of social activities. I agree with the assertion that the students will get more chance to find job if the combination both traditional courses and communication skills.

It is a fact of life that advertising exerts a tremendous inflence on us. Nowadays there crops up the Pandora’s box over this hot potato of what advertisements bring human beings. Personally I am highly in favour of the likelihood of more negative impacts which advertising place on us.

In the first place, advertisements usually persuade consumers to buy things which they do not really want. At the present, citizens get the highly information from the advertisements that help them to make choice before they get to buy what they need. For example, children and adolescents, as the groups exposed to the television and radio for most time, always require their parents to purchase some snacks, toys, clothing, mobilephones or even some luxuries, which are always not necessary for them.

On second thought, some advertisers maybe exaggerate the products advertisements so as to mislead consumers. Any misleading advertisements will lead to the marketing tricks, causing chaos in the market. If there are too many misleading information merging on TV, pelple will have the difficulty to distinguish between decent goods or goods of bad quality, with the result of causing illeagal competion.

What is neglected but worthy of being mentioned is that too many advertisements probably make people focus on the material life too much and regardless of spiritual life. It is true that many products advertised on TV can provide us a comfortable life. Nevertheless, is it a happy life? Some people buy the advertised commoditiy such as cosmetics, clothing of high expense, and even top-class cars to keep up with the Joneses to show their statue on the society. However, these people forget that only internal beauty such as mental edification and spiritual abundance can make others respect them not appearance and expensive goods.

In general, we can not deny that the process of the act of adverting is inevitalbel and indispensible and a good advertisement can be a bridge between business and consumers and helps keep businesses moving. On the other hand, what we need is not a world full of advertisments which overstate commodities but the correct information. Accordingly, government need to restrict the contents of advertisements and let misinformation of advertisements be far away from us.

Individual greed and selfishness has been the basis of the modern society. Someone think that we must return to the olds, more traditional values of respect for the family and the local community in order to create a better world to live in. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Recently, shocked by the exposure to greed and selfishness in the society, people tend to reflect on the necessity to return to the olds. After pondering this dilemma on many occasions,I finally arrive at the opinion that this trend is so inevitable that all we should do is to grin and bear it.

In the first place, wanting train goes nowhere. It is everyone’s instinct and justification to load goods to the train of life,as long as he acquires them in a proper way.The perception of property has evolved into prestige and status, something beyond tangible assets, provoking a lasting temptation.

On a second thought, is it feasible to resort to the old days?I argue with the claim that it’s definitely not.It was the lack of affluence in material that deprived ancient people of the chance to be greedy. They didn’t choose to be generous but merely appeared to be ,and a mere access to wealth could debunk the humane nature.

Furthermore, there’s no need to take such a gloomy view though we can’t turn the clock back. From my point, with the proliferate amount of material, people will diverse to obtain more spiritual satisfaction, which has already been witnessed. In the terror attack on Sep.11 2002,some respectable American civilians came to rescue their compatriots’ rescue without consideration to their own safety. To them, devotion has heaps more special meaning than selfishness.

To put it in a nutshell, I advocate that we should face greed and selfish in human’s nature rather than escape from them. Then we can take an initiative to enlighten and instruct ourselves by putting more weight on spiritual success. I’m convinced that the positive characters can outshine the negative ones ultimately.

广告利弊谈
Advertisement has saturated in our daily life to such an extend that we accept it wittingly or unwittingly. Whilst we pride ourselves on tapping it to obtain information, we also get disillusioned and frustrated after the purchase. A mere thought on this fact can reveal my standpoint that the demerits of advertisement tower over the merits.

To begin with, buyers’ benefits can be seriously jeopardized .Asymmetry of information has exists ever since, putting sellers and customers on an unequal stage. Therefore, companies go to a great length to highlight the attractive aspects of goods while keeping shied away from revealing the drawbacks, which customers don’t have an access to know.In the aftermath, excited about the so-called ideal goods, buyers irrationally procure them, only to find what they’ve acquired is not ideal as they had expected.

Admittedly ,people today become more dubious about the exaggeration in ads. However, sellers grow far shrewd about human’s psychology. For example, a prevailing method called AIDA, namely Attention, Interest, Desire, Action ,successfully lures people to buy things. Few people can resist the temptation to try the cleansing facial milk when they’re captivated by the eye-catching stars on TV With flowery phrases and possibly empty promises.

To make things worse, certain advertisements even exert a fatal effect on people. Misuse of some goods can result in damage to the health, leaving lasting physical and mental infliction. For instance, nowadays, misled by ads, an increasing number of people receive plastic surgery operated by illegal private hospitals and smart from malpractice.

Considering the reasons above,I strongly maintain that disadvantages of advertisement outweigh its advantages. Realizing the fact, customers should be sensible enough and avoid rushing to the purchase once they are informed of the extraordinary effect by ads.

Should be the money spent on the space exploration?
Nowadays, there is an increasingly debate on the problem whether we should spend money on the action of the space exploration. Some people reckon that human must make progress as much as possible while some others hold the opposite view.
The proponents hold the point of view that it is necessary to spend a lot of money on the space exploration. There are two reasons in the opinion. Firstly, we can’t blame the action and research taken by human to explore the outer space, for it is the human nature that we are attracted by the unknown area. Every progress couldn’t be created without the curiosity. For example, Newton established his principles after a long time of thinking about the movement of the apple, which was a new beginning in our history. Secondly, the resource of the world is limited while the population is growing day after day. You can imagine what we can do if all the food has been consumed up and all the places in the world are crowed with people. There is no habitat for human and animals. So we must start to research and explore the outer space form now on. Maybe one day we can move to some other planet.
There are also some opponents on this issue, holding the idea that it is a waste of time and money. The main reason is that the money and time should be devoted to the infrastructure, especially for some developing countries which are not rich enough to support such a great project. Improving the living standards of the whole country is urgent . In addition, the technology which is not used in a proper way may lead to some disastrous results. For instance, some countries may take some military actions by using the technology, a dangerous weapon to the peace of the world.
There are sufficient reasons on both sides. Exploring the space is only a tool. How to make use of it and who to use it may be depend on the human themselves. So in my opinion, we should utilize the exploration of outer space in a right way, what’s more ,this issue must be combined with the situation of one country it self.

It is a fact of social that many people leave home to study or start to work when they were young . I think it positive at the same time that it get its own disadvantages . Following I’ll give my own experience and knowledge to support my view of point.

Firstly, we can witness that a child who touch the social at an early age can be far more quickly form a ability of indepe
