年末到来，雅思已进入了彻底的冬季，往往在这段时间无论是听说读写，都不会出现多大的意外，特别是写作，经历了11月初的那次7年不考的地图题后，雅思小作文应该是进入了传统的四大题型测试期了，大家一定要在考前至少写到8篇以上的Task 1，还有仔细看我的课堂笔记Version 4.0，在不远的将来会推出5.0。
大作文的主要重点是1和3号球，生涯规划和抽象题。3号球要更重视一点，由于此球比较抽象，因此大家把我笔记上蓝色和红色标注的5道题都应练一练，下面还有一些本月重点准备的题目：（蓝色的为1号球，红色的为3号球）。小新在这里祝大家考试成功！
1） Is children’s education chiefly the responsibility of parents or teachers?
2）Some people think that schools should select their pupils according to their academic ability. Others believe that young people with different abilities should be educated together. Discuss both sides and give your opinion.
3）Some people think that cultural traditions may be destroyed when they are used as money-making attractions aimed at tourists. Others believe that it is the only way to help traditions to remain in the world. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
4）Some people think that news media have become much more influential in people's lives today and that this is a negative development. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
5）Children who are brought up in families which do not have a great amount of money are better prepared to deal with the problems of adult life than children who are brought up by wealthy parents. Do you agree or disagree？

4）Some people think that news media have become much more influential in people's lives today and that this is a negative development. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
This century,with the development of mass media, it has played a more significant role in society that in the past. News meida seems to be omnipresent nowadays.Nonetheless, every jade has its freckle. There occurs a concern over whether news media is a negtive development .I would like to put forward the pros and cons of news media respectively, and then pose my personal view towards it.
To begin with,it is evident that the advanced news media bring people latest news both locally and internationally, with the aid of satellite, which provides us with the precondition to be qualified global citizens. The news media,especially the Internet media, does a great convinience for occupying comtemporaries--as long as they have access to the Internet, they can keep up with the Jonese anytime and anywhere.
In contrary, it seems the news media technique negatively impacts people's daily life and become a hindrance against human being's process of civilization. Due to the convenience it brings us, we prefer sitting in front of the computer,solely clicking mouses all the day,rather than to go out to keep in touch with the surrounding community. People become bleak to the environment around them and enstranged each other because of the less and less face-to-face communication. Even they tend to be couch patatoes,which is precisely a degeneration of humans.
From my point of view, news media is a two-eged sword. Dwelling in a fiercely competitive society, we do need a simple but efficient way to be informed of what is happening out of our eyesight. On the other hand, we cannot become lax owing to its convenience. Travelling overseas with friends or family is also necessary, and it makes us have genuine experience of the various culture and custom which can never be got from news media,broading our horizen and enlightening us.
In a nutshell, we shall take advantage of news media an meanwhile be aware of the potentially influence from it. Just do our best to keep the balance,though it may be a dillema for most of us.

文章:
Great consensus has been reached that cultural traditions should be well preserved as the treasure of human civilization. Yet there crop up fissures over the issue of whether the exposure of cultural traditions to tourists is detrimental or of vital importance to its preservation. Both assertions, in my viewpoint, can hold water and I would like to have a brief discussion on them.
Those who hold that tourists may impose a negative effect on cultural traditions, above all, tend to view this issue from the perspective of environmental protection and ecological balance. It is inevitable that the more outsiders enter a certain society, the higher possibility of environmental destruction might emerge, thus likely to destroy the biodiversity of the local area. These would water down the living conditions of local people, which is not beneficial, if not harmful, to the maintainance of cultural traditions.
A second concern might fall in the arena of cultural diversity. The wave of going travelling entails frequent and close contacts among people from different parts of the world. Local men’s possibility of running into various cultures creeps up to a marked extent, and out of curiosity and excitement, they tend to absorb new cultural elements rather than sticking to the older ones. If such situations last, local people might not want to be induced into the old culture any more, hence losing the dominance of their previous traditions.
However, we should not neglect the bright sides of tourism on culture traditions. In the first place, a large amount of travelers would bring about huge economic vitality, especially to the destinations. Tourism at the periphery can serve as an impetus of GDP growth. Accumulation of wealth is undoubtedly providing more effective ways to preserve the cultural traditions, for instance building up museums, running certain schools, etc.
And it doesn’t stop there. On second thoughts, majority rule would argue that tourists from all round the world help to hasten the pace of spreading certain cultures to their motherlands, and against the background of globalization this is sure to work. Therefore, “exporting” culture traditions via travelers is conductive to its survival and protection because of more users.
As for me, although the latter viewpoint seems reasonable to some extent, the feasibility of the first one outweighs that of the latter. Traditions shouldn’t be influenced by too many interrupting factors so that they could maintain the ingenuity and purity, since they are prerequisites and necessities for survival in a competitive world.
自己的观点一开始就可以亮明，然后稍加重点地写自己支持的观点，对不支持的观点略加论证。
