Establishing of Business Relations
In modern international trade, it is a prerequisite for a company to seek prospective clients and to establish business relations with them so as to start and develop its business. This chapter deals with how to make contact with a prospective client. Usually, information on future clients is obtainable through the following channels.
1. Trade Directory
2. Chamber of Commerce both at home and abroad
3. Banks
4. Advertisements in the newspapers or periodicals.
5. Introduction or recommendation from embassies or consulates
6. The Internet.
7. Mutual visits by trade delegations and representatives,
8. Attendance at the export commodities fairs and exhibitions at home and abroad
9. Market investigation
10.Introduction from other business firms or friends
11.Self-introduction.
