PETALING JAYA: Organisers of Asia’s King of R & B concert – the Jay Chou World Tour 2008 Live in Malaysia – are promising a smashing show that will sweep the fans off their feet on Feb 23.
Fans will also be able to can also expect a visual feast of spectacular pyrotechnics and extraordinary costumes at the concert, said Galaxy Group managing director Alan Chan.

“The production is massive. There will be at least 10 elevators on stage coupled with a crystal piano flown in from Taiwan,” he said.
Chan said that Chou, during one part of the show, would re-enact a scene from his 2006 flick Curse of the Golden Flower.
“During this segment, Chou will perform a few numbers and will be clad in the outfit he wore the movie,” he said.
There would be a lot of costume changes, with each exuding a different character to go with the songs, he added.
Chou is expected to arrive with a 80-member ensemble which includes his band, production crew and dancers.
Trained in classical music, the Taiwanese-born artiste combines Chinese and Western music styles to produce songs that fuse R & B, rock and pop genres.
The 28-year-old first released an album titled Jay in 2000 and has since released an album a year.
His big break came in 2001 with the release of his second album Fantasy followed by Eight Dimensions, Ye Hui Mei, Common Jasmin Orange, November’s Chopin and Still Fantasy, all of which yielded numerous hits and achieved record-breaking double platinum status for album sales.
Chou has also just released his latest album On The Run.
Jay Chou World Tour 2008 Live in Malaysia will be held at Stadium Merdeka at 8pm on Feb 23.
Tickets are on sale and priced at RM398, RM348 (numbered seats), RM168 (Rock Zone). The RM238, RM198, RM98 (free seating) tickets have all been sold out.
